Rving North to Alaska: Driving up the Klondike Highway | S2-E14

In today’s vlog we leave Whitehorse behind and start our journey north on the Klondike Highway towards Dawson City, the start of the Yukon Gold Rush. Not far out of Whitehorse we stop at the Braeburn Lodge for some world famous cinnamon buns that we had read about in the Milepost magazine.

Later that afternoon we find a great little campground along the way and decide to stay for 2 nights at the Pelly Crossing Campground, a free Selkirk First Nation campground halfway between Whitehorse and Dawson. While parked in Pelly Crossing Gary gathers wood and puts together a pork rib dinner in the dutch oven over the campfire. He also takes the extra down day to work on fixing a fan that was giving us trouble.

Finally watch what night time in the Yukon looks like. We filmed from 8pm to 8am to show how light it stays all night.
