The Ultimate Glacier Experience in Jasper National Park ~ RVing North to Alaska | S2-E6

After parking for free at The Crossing Resort in Saskatchewan Crossing, Alberta we drive a short 30 miles up the Icefields Parkway to the Columbia Icefields Discovery Centre. After getting settled in we decide to spend the afternoon playing on ice by taking the “Ultimate Glacier Experience” with Brewster Company in Jasper National Park. The tour begins with a short 4 minute bus drive to the Glacier Crawlers that will take us up a mile or so up on Athabasca Glacier to walk around for 40 minutes. After hanging out on the glacier we climb back aboard the Ice Explorer to ride back down to our bus where they then bus us to the Skywalk, a glass bridge that over hangs the Sunwapta River Canyon some 900 feet below our feet. We end the day with some cool time-lapse video of the glaciers and a night-time shot of the stars over Athabasca Glacier.
