Driving to the Icefields, Jasper National Park, Canada ~ North to Alaska | S2-E5

Today we leave Cranbrook, British Columbia behind and turn the wheels Norths towards the Banff and Jasper National Parks. We work our way over Hwy 93 through Kootenay National Park from Radium Hot Springs and end up crossing over the Continental Divide and arriving in the Lake Louise/Banff area in Alberta. We then head NW on the Trans-Canada 1 West a few miles up to the Icefields Parkway Junction on Highway 97. The Icefields Parkway is full of glaciers and rivers and we even drove through an avalanche area that had just slid 2 weeks prior.

Finally we find ourselves at The Crossing Resort in Saskatchewan Crossing where we park overnight for free. A long days drive but the Canadian Rockies scenery was spectacular and worth it.
